2022 Empire Cabernet Franc
The writing on the side of the bottle reads:
As reported in today's Global Wine News, Gamling & McDuck, the 50 ZILLION case Mega World Wine Power, known for having their dirty paws in ALL the wine pies, have declared their intention to either absorb or destroy all the small wine producers of Planet Earth. "We are EMPIRE" said McDuck, "No more creativity! One wine for everybody!" All the young wine punks have since lost their minds and taken to the streets to protest G&M's evil ways!
One late night playing with AI (as one does) I started designing the wineries I wish we could afford to build. It started modest enough, quaint little barns full of barrels and tanks, but it just kept expanding. Turns out real estate is cheap in the imaginarium, so I built us a Gallo times 1000 alternate history begining in the 1950s that included massive wine and wine adjacent projects- A Winery and Particle Accelerator combo in Sonoma, an electric rail system called TEACUP for delivering wine throughout the US...
I made a ton of slides.
I liked this whole weird world so much that I decided to make it our Ecomm site. Then a friend worried that people might believe these holdings were real- He said this while looking at a slide of an Alpine Viticulture Project in North Honshu Japan, a building that would’ve easily cost 20 billion dollars. It's from a teenage block of Cab Franc on powerful Mt. Veeder (Napa).
The bouquet has slivers of green notes- a poison hex of lean herbaceous- ness. The mouth comes flooding in (the mouthfeel is full velvet) with dark red fruit and earth. This is the perfect wine to bring when you've been invited to dine at Camelot.
