Things come and go. And sometimes they go and then come back again. Sometimes they go for just a minute because they need to get out of the house and away from these goddamn kids for one goddamn second omg. Sometimes things travels sideways like a crab. Sometimes things stay put. And sometimes you wish they'd for real go away already.

Well Mangels Ranch Chenin Blanc was gone- reasons: fires, covidtimes, goose eggs in my bank account- but it's back. It's back, and wherever it went it saw things. It's changed, and how couldn' it? Where it went? We don't know. But now it has a beat-up motorcycle and a leather jacket. It wears sunglasses and won't take them off when we ask. It's building a mystery, Sarah McLachlan would say- holding on and holding it in.

Anyway I'm happy it's back- and you're gonna be happy too. It's in this February's Wine Clubs, along with a bunch of other goodies. When you get it, maybe open it on the porch, step away from it, give it a minute to remember who it was and reconcile that with who it is now. watch it from behind the screen door, give it some space.
